The grounds are scattered with "hoophouses," an inexpensive way to put up a hothouse environment. This one is for members of the Nightshade (Solanaceae) family, tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant. The nearest row is basil, making this a real Mediterranean hoophouse. It smelled great.
